Papers of Beverley D. Tucker [manuscript], 1961-1964.

The collection contains copies of circular letters written by the Reverend Tucker, Sapporo, Japan, to friends and relatives in the United States including Miss Betty Cocke of Charlottesville, Virginia. The letters not only detail the life and activities of his family and parish but also instruct the recipient on Japanese life and culture, and the general progress of Christian missionary work there. In addition to the letters there are four Christmas cards, two photographs, a wedding announcement and a copy of Tucker's book "God gave the increase" about St. Michael's church in Hokkaido.
